About CoreHarvests
CoreHarvests began with a simple frustration: supermarket spice jars that smelled of dust rather than the field. We started buying directly from growers, milling in small batches, and shipping quickly enough that the aroma survived the journey.
Sourced where each spice grows best
Turmeric comes from Erode, where the curcumin content runs high. Chilli comes from Guntur, pepper from Wayanad, cumin from Unjha. Buying region by region costs more than buying from a single commodity market, but the difference in colour and aroma is the whole point.
Milled in small batches
Whole spices lose their volatile oils quickly once ground. We cold-mill shortly before dispatch so the oils that carry flavour are still intact when the pack is opened, rather than having faded on a warehouse shelf.
Tested, not assumed
Every batch is checked for pesticide residue, artificial colour and adulterants such as starch or chalk. Nothing is added to bulk out weight or brighten colour.
What we will not do
- Add artificial colour or anti-caking agents
- Blend cheaper fillers into ground spices
- Publish reviews we did not receive from real customers
